Assistant Scientist Mammalian Cell lines (Onsite-Summit, NJ)

We are seeking a Lab Operations Technician- Pharma for a global pharmaceutical client. You will be responsible for developing mammalian cell lines and assessing new platforms to produce monoclonal and bispecific antibodies, fusion proteins or other recombinant proteins for clinical and commercial manufacturing. The selected candidate will be heavily involved in techniques such as flow cytometry and cell imaging and will collaborate with other departments, including molecular biology, upstream process development, and process development analytics.

This is a 40-hour per-week, 6-month contract (extensions possible), 100% onsite role in Summit, NJ.

This is a W2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and 401K are offered.

Responsibilities:

• Perform cell staining, imaging and flow cytometry.

• Assist with ongoing business and innovation projects in the lab.

• Conduct limited data analysis and review.

• Carry out assigned laboratory work and other basic functional duties to support lab operations.

• Maintain a research lab notebook, recording information on activities.

• Comply with lab procedures, protocols, regulatory, and other requirements.

• Evaluate and introduce innovative technologies to improve the cell line development process and therapeutic protein production.

• Work closely with other functional teams, including Upstream Process Development, Downstream Purification, and Analytical Development, to support development activities.

• Create written technical reports and present data at internal forums.
  
  

Requirements:

• 0-4 years of experience with aseptic culture of mammalian cell lines is a must

• Hands-on experience with flow cytometry and cell imaging techniques (fluorescent microscopy) is desirable.

• Basic understanding of daily lab functions, maintenance, safety, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Automation experience is a plus

• Required BS degree but MS is preferred in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related biologics fields.

Compensation: $30/hr. - $35.57/hr.
