Job Description

About us

Opus is the leading mobile-first training platform for restaurant & hospitality staff. We are a team of service industry veterans + tech professionals on a mission to create a world where every frontline worker has a good job.

About the role

At Opus Training, our platform is built for today's reality - where everyone from Gen Z to Boomers expects their training to be as engaging as their social media feed. Co-founded by Rachael Nemeth, who has deep expertise in hospitality training, Opus has built a strong reputation with a majority of interest coming inbound via referrals and other channels.

As our Growth Marketing manager, you'll own our organic marketing programs — leading campaigns that reach our audience where they are— on social media, email, or in person at conferences. You'll collaborate with our sales team to turn engaged followers into qualified leads, work cross-functionality to execute on campaigns, and assess what we should do next.

We're looking for a B2B Growth Marketer who innately understands how people buy today AND is a teacher at heart. You understand that even in B2B, we're marketing to real people who spend their days scrolling social media, and are driven by both emotional and data-driven evidence.

Your mission? As the first dedicated growth marketer, continue building on our foundation with consistent execution and fresh ideas. You need to be flexible enough to work across multiple marketing disciplines. For example, one day, you might be managing social media channels; the next, you might optimize cold email campaigns; and another, you might improve SEO. We don't expect you to be an  expert across all of these channels, but we do expect you to have the marketing fundamentals and an eagerness to learn. Plus, know how to delegate to internal and freelance teams to get things done.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns that nurture our target audience
  • Manage a holistic paid/owned social media presence through engaging content that resonates with different buyer personas in the hospitality training and operations space
  • Project manage the marketing calendar, all of its internal deliverables across different internal and freelance teams
  • Develop and optimize email nurture campaigns throughout the prospect lifecycle
  • Improve our organic digital marketing traffic and lead conversion using SEO, website optimization, and content as needed
  • Partner closely with sales team to optimize lead handoff and ensure marketing initiatives align with sales goals
  • Plan and manage our presence at industry and customer conferences
  • Coordinate with freelance creators and agencies to produce high-quality marketing assets
  • Track and report on key marketing metrics, providing insights to improve campaign performance

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of B2B marketing experience, preferably in SaaS or hospitality technology
  • Demonstrated success growing engagement on social media, with ability to show examples of personal or professional social media impact
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to derive reasonable insights using evidence all of sorts
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with marketing technology stack including: Email marketing platforms, Salesforce, Webflow or similar CMS, Social media management tools
  • Project management skills with ability to coordinate multiple campaigns and stakeholders
  • Resourceful - You're great at figuring things out!
  • Based in New York City area (hybrid) or in California (fully remote)
