Job Description

MSA has an opportunity for a BIM Manager to focus on Digital Design technical support, primarily championing the use of Autodesk Revit and BIM 360, specifically in the areas of training, 2D and 3D family creation and organization, Revit implementation strategizing with project teams, and research and development. This position plays an active role in the seamless rollout of our BIM implementation strategy and evolving the landscape of our digital design and delivery.

The position can be based out of any of our 17 Midwest office locations (WI, MN, IA, and IL) and flexible/hybrid schedule options are possible. This listing is for the Appleton, WI location.

Responsibilities

The work you may do

  • Develops, executes, and monitors BIM systems training activities for new and in-house users.
  • Provides project continuance (modeling & detailing) assistance with project teams when necessary
  • Provides project setup, modeling, and work-sharing guidance to project teams
  • Creates Revit families, following MSA BIM standards, as needed in response to project need
  • Assists with the resolution of BIM design issues
  • Provides technical support assistance with the resolution of BIM model issues
  • Assists with leading and participating in BIM/CAD Oversight Committee in conjunction with Digital Design Manager, CAD Manager, and Design Technology CoP as appropriate
  • Manages software products, including but not limited to, incorporating new version releases and customization of the product
  • Manages the implementation of supporting software for BIM and 3D Visualization


Qualifications

What you bring

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in BIM Modeling or Management, Architectural or Civil Engineering Technology, and four years experience in an engineering architecture firm or related field


Experience

  • Four years of practical CAD/BIM design, with emphasis on 3D design and BIM processes


Required Knowledge And Skills

  • Expert with industry standard BIM/CAD software packages; Autodesk & Bentley products, specifically Autodesk software preferred
  • Familiar with other industry-standard BIM/CAD software packages
  • Familiarity with programming or data sciences a benefit
  • Familiarity with Dynamo or Revit API
  • Expert with online training tools for engineers; Eagle Point Pinnacle preferred
  • Extensive technical knowledge of design process and principles
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of IT systems
  • Strong written and personal communication skills with experience in technical document writing
  • Active in industry forums and user groups, both local and national
