Job Description

Immediate opportunities are available for talented Brazers who want to become part of the Johnson Controls team. The Brazer is responsible for performing critical assembly line and sub-assembly brazing operations on air conditioning units and related equipment. This role involves precise brazing tasks requiring careful handling and adjustment of materials and equipment.

Pay: $20.0/h.

Schedule 

• 1st shift: 6 AM - 2:30 PM.
• 2nd shift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM +$1.25 shift differential.
• 3rd shift: 10 PM - 6 AM +$1.75 shift differential.

What You’ll Do:

• Read and interpret operational Method Sheets (OMS) job instructions.
• Handle materials to and from the workstation.
• Execute critical brazing operations with extreme precision, considering component proximity and tubing.
• Maintain proper heating techniques for effective filler material flow in various directions.
• Determine required materials, filler metal, and flux, and adjust torch flame and tips accordingly.

What We Look For:

• Experience in brazing/sautering/soldering operations.
• Ability to read and understand job instructions and Method Sheets.
• Proficiency in handling materials and adjusting equipment for precise brazing.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to work in challenging environments.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move heavy steel materials (up to 50 lbs or more).
• Ability to stand, bend, stair climb, and work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods (8+ hours).
• Capability to work in various industrial conditions (e.g., noise, heat, etc.)
