Job Overview:

VIVOTEK North America is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for leading our VORTEX Cloud strategy, sales approach, and overall success. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong communication skills and a proven track record in VSaaS sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Research:  Identify and analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform strategic business decisions. Identify verticals and areas where focus should be applied.
  • Lead Generation:  Develop and implement strategies to generate new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
  • Client Engagement:  Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions. Work collaboratively with the RSM team to engage, present and develop customers.
  • Sales Strategy:  Develop and execute sales plans to achieve revenue targets and business growth objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall Cloud strategy and success.
  • Collaboration:  Work closely with the marketing department to develop sales tools for the sales team.
  • Presentations:  Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients. This includes presenting Vortex at industry events and on behalf of our sales organization to key prospects and clients.
  • Reporting:  Track and report on sales performance, market trends, and business development activities.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Regional Sales Manager, National Account Manager, Business Development Manager or similar role in B2B sales in video surveillance industry.
  • Must have 3+ years of successful sales experience with a VSaaS company.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to close deals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive and problem-solving attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 75% of the time.
