Title: Computer Vision Engineer Sensor Fusion & Calibration
Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid)
Duration: 6+ Months (Long term contract)
Implementation Partner: Infosys
End Client: To be disclosed (Retail Domain)

JD:

• Camera and other sensors selection, installation and support
• Evaluating and selecting appropriate cameras and sensor hardware based on performance, cost and reliability
• In-club visit and testing
• Camera testing and Aruco testing
• System design and deployment
• Designing the layout and placement of cameras and sensors within the store to ensure optimal coverage and data capture
• Camera parameter testing
• Involves defining and testing the specifications for the camera such as resolution, frame rate, pixel depth, exposure time
• etc.,
• Camera calibration and management pipeline
• Developing and implementing robust camera calibration procedures, including intrinsics and extrinsic calibration
• Maintaining calibration accuracy over time by implementing automated recalibration procedures or monitoring calibration
• drift
• Sensor fusion using multiple sensors (camera, lidar, weight scale, RFID)
• Developing algorithms to fuse data from multiple sensors to improve object detection, tracking and scene understanding
• Handling sensor noise, data inconsistencies and temporal offsets between sensors
• Deploy and manage a network of cameras, ensuring seamless data synchronization across multiple viewpoints.
• Enhance accuracy by leveraging multi-view fusion techniques to capture moving object actions from different angles.
• Data Annotation and Model Optimization
• Build annotated datasets from collected images/videos for model training and evaluation.
• Camera calibration model optimization
• Semi supervised annotations (future scope)
• Camera monitoring
• Designing and implementing a monitoring system to track the health and performance of the camera and sensor network.
• Monitoring camera image quality, calibration parameters, sensor data streams and system latency
• Developing alerts and notifications for potential issues such as camera malfunctions, calibration drift or sensor failures
• Creating tools for visualizing sensor data and calibration parameters to aid in diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Privacy and Compliance
• Implement video anonymization techniques to protect customer privacy.
• Ensure that camera installations and data processing comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

Skill and qualifications

Programming python(e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), flask, Azure, Data visualization tools. Knowledge of
distributed processing frameworks like Apache Kafka or Spark.

Camera calibration -- Expertise in camera geometry, projective geometry and calibration techniques, experience
with calibration software and libraries (e.g., OpenCV)

3D Computer vision Strong understanding of lidar, stereo depth, point cloud processing and 3D geometry.
Experience with point cloud libraries like PCL. Knowledge of coordinate transformation and registration
algorithms like ICP. Familiarity with algorithms for real-time object detection (e.g., YOLO, Faster R-CNN) and
pose estimation (e.g., OpenPose, MediaPipe).

Edge Computing and Real-Time Systems

Experience with deploying AI models on edge devices for real-time inference.

Understanding of hardware acceleration tools like NVIDIA Jetson or Google Coral for on-device processing.

Preferred Some annotation tools using experience such as Labelme, CVAT, React, etc.

Preferred - Data Security and Privacy

Familiarity with video anonymization techniques (e.g., blurring faces) to ensure compliance with privacy
regulations.

Understanding of GDPR or CCPA guidelines for handling customer data.
