We’re looking for a Craft Sales Specialist to join our team and help us drive sales, build relationships, and grow the presence of locally brewed craft beers.

Job Summary: The Craft Sales Specialist is responsible for driving the sales of locally produced craft beers through strategic account management, relationship-building, and market development. This role involves identifying sales opportunities, promoting brand awareness, and collaborating with both breweries and retail partners to maximize sales potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales and Revenue Growth
    • Achieve and exceed sales targets by identifying new business opportunities and expanding existing accounts.
    • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow the presence of locally produced craft beer.
    • Conduct market research to identify trends, consumer preferences, and opportunities to enhance sales performance.
  2. Account Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, bars, restaurants, and other accounts.
    • Act as a liaison between local breweries and retail partners to ensure product availability and visibility.
    • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely reorders to avoid stockouts.
  3. Brand Advocacy and Promotion
    • Educate accounts and consumers about the unique qualities of local craft beers.
    • Organize and participate in promotional events, tastings, and festivals to drive brand recognition.
    • Provide training to retail staff on product knowledge and effective sales techniques.
  4. Collaboration and Reporting
    • Work closely with brewery partners to understand their products, values, and goals.
    • Provide regular sales and performance reports to the Sales Manager.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to align sales strategies with promotional campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the craft beer, beverage, or hospitality industry.
  • Passion for craft beer and deep knowledge of local brewing trends.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and nurture relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Encompass and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the assigned territory.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation range: $60,000-$70,000 per year

(Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon route, geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level)
