Delicious Cakes! in Addison, TX is looking for one custom wedding cake decorators to join our 10 person strong team. We are located on 14819 Inwood Rd. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and hard-working.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a creative Wedding Cake Decorator to join our team. As a Cake Decorator, you will be responsible for designing and decorating various types of cakes for different occasions.

• Start Right Away – 30 to 35 hours a week
• Regular social events, paid lunch break, snack bar
• Safe work environment, flexible hours
• Pay - $12 - $14 depending on skill level with fast promotion
• This is “Not a training class” or school, You must be able to finish assigned wedding cake assignment from day 1
• 1 month training & 2 month probational period to see if you'll be a good fit for our bakery for fully hired position
• During the training, you will get paid $12 until skills are proven.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee all aspects of the cake orders assigned from beginning to end

- Design and decorate high-end custom wedding cakes, including fondant figure cakes

- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food handling and preparation

- Assist in customer service when in need

- Collaborate with sales departments to coordinate making orders, and ways to make the work flow better

- Keep up with low inventory, supplies, and report to purchasing department

- Excellent time management, work ethics, and punctual

- Stay updated on industry trends and new cake-decorating techniques

- In charge of decorating clean, sharp, grooms cake and bridal cakes with multi-tiers

Qualification:

- At least 2 years of wedding cake decoration in commercial bakery

- 1 year customer service at commercial bakery

- Strong cake decorating skills, creativity, and attention to detail in cake design

- Able to stack 3 tier wedding cakes, work with fondant 3-d figure cakes

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

- Creativity and innovation in developing new cake flavors and menu items

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff, customers, and vendors

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team

- Excellent knowledge of planning, food preparation, and food handling techniques

- Strong customer service skills, time management

- Understanding of food safety standards and practices in the food industry

- Be able to create cakes like the ones on our instagram - @deliciouscakesdfw

- Bilingual in English & Spanish is a plus
