Job Description
We're looking for a skilled Cyber Security Engineer to help maintain and implement the latest Palo Alto Strata Cloud Manager technology and strategies. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring scalable and effective cybersecurity measures across the organization. You'll also provide cybersecurity engineering support by researching, evaluating, designing, implementing, and maintaining secure system and product solutions. Responsibilities:
Provide on-call support for major outage issues related to Palo Alto Strata Cloud Manager.
Lead the architecture, design, and deployment of Palo Alto Strata Cloud Manager solutions.
Maintain and optimize security measures within the Strata Cloud Manager environment.
Develop integration solutions between the proxy and other cybersecurity tools.
Serve as a liaison between internal teams and Palo Alto Support.
Participate in technical design discussions based on business needs and use cases.
Conduct proof-of-concept testing and evaluate technologies for adoption.
Stay up to date with emerging cybersecurity threats and industry trends.
Support the development of cybersecurity requirements, design documentation, and policies.
Implement security controls for network devices, databases, operating systems, and applications.
Analyze cybersecurity data and test results to improve security measures.
Collaborate with teams to design and manage security services across a global infrastructure.
Communicate complex security concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
2+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, cloud security, and security architecture.
Expertise in network security solutions such as IDS, cloud security access brokers (CSAB), and DDoS protection.
Strong understanding of network technologies, including routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, and proxies.
Experience with cloud security standards, architectures, and governance models.
Proficiency in TCP/UDP/ICMP/IP protocols.
Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python) for automation and security tasks.
Hands-on experience with Splunk, PKI, SSL, SSH, and
Familiarity with leading firewall, proxy, and load balancing solutions.
Knowledge of server and endpoint operating system security best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA).
Knowledge of Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) and SD-WAN.
Background in cloud proxy and web isolation technologies.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
Remote position with occasional on-call responsibilities.
