Position: Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LCSW, LPC, LMFT)
Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $40 - $60 per hour (commission per session)
About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled mental health counselor to provide individual, group, and family therapy services to clients. This position involves working with a diverse client population, offering support through counseling, crisis intervention, and linking clients to resources that promote recovery. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to create personalized treatment plans and contribute to the overall therapeutic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for clients.
Offer crisis intervention and support clients through challenging situations.
Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions, creating a positive and supportive environment.
Coordinate psychiatric and medical care in collaboration with other professionals.
Participate in the pre-admission screening process to assess client eligibility for the program.
Review and update treatment plans for active clients regularly.
Provide therapeutic case management and link clients with appropriate community resources.
Attend and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings, training sessions, and staff development activities.
Ensure that clinical records are maintained to the highest standards of quality care, including performing quality assurance tasks.
Foster relationships with external organizations to support clients' recovery journey.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Required Meetings:
Supervision sessions
OMHC meetings
Bi-monthly staff meetings
Annual supervision and program evaluation with the Program Director
Qualifications:
Education & Credentials: Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field (LMSW, LCPC, LCSW-C, LGPC, LPC required).
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in counseling, with a focus on mental health, addiction treatment, or family therapy.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong knowledge of dual diagnosis counseling, crisis intervention, treatment planning, and psychopharmacology.
Ability to work with a variety of client profiles and demonstrate empathy, respect, and professionalism.
Analytical skills to assess client needs and create effective treatment plans.
Good understanding of addiction therapies, community resources, and referral systems.
Ability to document clinical services accurately and maintain compliance with agency standards.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
