Job Description

The Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC) is the national trade association representing manufacturers and distributors of motorcycles, scooters, motorcycle/ATV/ROV parts and accessories, and members of allied trades such as insurance, finance and investment firms, media companies and consultants. The MIC’s membership team is looking for a Digital Marketing Designer / Web Designer to join the team. This position is responsible for designing visually appealing, user-friendly, and responsive websites while developing and executing digital marketing campaigns that align with our associations goals and enhance user experience. The digital marketing/web designer will work closely with content teams and developers to create websites and email campaigns that are not only aesthetically compelling but also optimized for performance and user experience. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, energy, and a collaborative spirit. Someone who enjoys working with and in the Powersports industry is a huge plus! Objectives of this role:
  • Design visually stunning, user-centric websites and web pages that are intuitive, mobile-friendly and optimized for SEO
  • Oversee the daily operation, maintenance, and performance of associations websites
  • Focus on creating intuitive layouts and interfaces that enhance the user experience, ensuring websites are functional and provide seamless interaction for our members
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to demonstrate web design concepts and ideas
  • Work closely with developers to ensure designs are effectively implemented and meet technical, cyber security and compliance requirements. Troubleshoot with developers to resolves any website-related issues (performance, bugs, broken links, slow load time or errors)
  • Maintain brand consistency across all digital platforms by following design standards, while tailoring elements (color schemes, typography, imagery) to reflect the unique identity of each association’s brand
  • Conduct usability testing to identify and address user experience issues, ensuring accessibility and responsiveness
  • Stay up to date with the latest web design trends, tools, and best practices to continuously enhance digital platforms. Ensure content is accurate and relevant
  • Collaborate with the content team to incorporate SEO best practices into website design to improve website ranking and drive organic traffic
  • Monitor website performance using tools like Google Analytics and provide reports with recommendations and improvements
  • Report on effectiveness and results of marketing campaigns to team members
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of proven progressive experience in website management, web development, web design, UI design, ecommerce, and digital marketing
  • Significant, proven experience in web design tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of SEP best practice and web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics)
  • Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, and custom content management solutions
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for front-end development and website customization
  • Experience with digital marketing platforms such as Klaviyo, Drip, MailChimp, or similar automation tools
  • Expertise in responsive design, mobile optimization, and EX/UI best practices
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight while managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present ideas effectively
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, ensuring timely execution of projects
  • A deep understanding of impactful marketing tactics, user engagement strategies, and conversion optimization
