Position Summary Partners with clinical department Chair and leadership team to gain a clear understanding of business initiatives and effectively translate them into digital marketing strategies and tactics. Responsible for digital marketing strategies, digital content creation and website optimization.
Job Responsibilities - Develops and implements digital marketing strategies that ladder up to overall marketing plan to achieve Department and institutional objectives.
- Builds relationships and leverages External Affairs best practices and competencies to achieve Department objectives. Supports and evaluates results of marketing and communication tactics utilizing best practices from External Affairs.
- Collaborates with internal departments and affiliates to expand marketing and communication efforts, in particular External Affairs social media and IT teams.
- Collaborates closely with Chair and Department Leadership team supporting internal department initiatives, strategy, presentations, and similar duties as assigned.
- Coaches and manages a direct report.
- Publicizes Department's content via the department's social media accounts; develops content calendar to create a consistent cadence of posts. Monitors and moderates department's social media accounts, including community comments and DMs.
- Creates or designs social media visuals that adhere to WCM's Brand Guidelines. Social media visuals will include graphics and videos.
- Analyzes social media analytics and synthesizes into actionable insights to inform planning and increase engagement.
- Updates the Department's website with consistent content; provides support for project-specific website content.
- Researches and writes website content, including feature stories (faculty and patient), news announcements, event publicity, infographics, blogs, videos and newsletters.
- Adheres to WCM's style guide, ensuring production of high-quality and error-free copy.
Education - Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
Experience - 5+ years equivalent experience in digital marketing tactics, particularly social media and website management, plus writing and editing for websites and publications.
- Content creation experience for multiple media platforms, such as Drupal (required), Constant Contact (or similar), Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Google+ and interest in emerging social media.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, XML, client and server-side technologies a plus.
- Graphic design experience using Canva and Adobe.
- Video production and editing experience.
- Previous experience within the healthcare sector is preferred.
- Demonstrated success in coaching and managing direct reports.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Strong understanding of social media landscape and web platforms with demonstrated technical expertise in these areas.
- Ability to recommend and execute appropriate mix of marketing and communication tactics to reach desired audience and achieve objectives.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self motivated, adaptable, and possessing a positive attitude.
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure; ability to prioritize competing demands and complete action items efficiently with minimal supervision to meet deadlines. Excellent project management skills.
- Politically astute and respectful. Ability to interact with all levels within the organization.
- Problem-solver whom others seek for advice and expedient resolution and who can creatively problem-solve understanding the need to balance multiple objectives for the best outcome.
