Job Description
You will work closely with Early Head Start families, children, pregnant women, and staff to assess and meet the individual needs of enrolled children and pregnant women through home visit services. You will be responsible for providing support in a way that promotes positive parent/child interactions, facilitates developmental growth, and ensures compliance with regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Collaboration and Recruitment: Work alongside Family Advocates to support the recruitment and enrollment of families, ensuring that an active waiting list is maintained and caseloads are kept current.
Socialization Events: Plan, facilitate, and maintain two monthly socialization events, creating a stimulating, safe, and engaging environment for infants and toddlers. These events will encourage positive parent/child interactions.
Home Visits: Conduct weekly 90-minute home visits with enrolled families, ensuring that each visit supports all program components. You will model developmentally appropriate practices and work with parents to strengthen their understanding of child development.
Parent Support: Help parents develop and implement individual education goals and strategies, including supporting children with disabilities or challenging behaviors.
Assessment and Development: Partner with parents to observe children, conduct developmental screenings, and assess progress. Use these observations to provide tailored developmental support.
Community Engagement: Build partnerships with local agencies and programs that provide services to children and families. Assist families in accessing additional resources to meet their needs.
Policy and Procedures Compliance: Ensure compliance with program policies, health and safety protocols, and state and federal regulations. Participate in required meetings and training.
Family Advocacy: Encourage parent involvement in meetings, including the Policy Council, and assist families with the goal-setting and needs assessment process.
Qualifications:
A home-based CDA Credential, Family Development Credential, or a comparable qualification with coursework in Early Education/Child Development.
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, car insurance, and the ability to pass a criminal background check.
Fluency in Spanish is required.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift infants and toddlers up to 40 lbs, lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, and push/pull up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to sit on the floor, bend, kneel, and stoop for extended periods.
