Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Visitor to work closely with families, children, and expectant mothers in our Early Head Start program. In this role, you will assess and respond to the individual needs of enrolled children and pregnant women through home visit services. You will operate both independently and as part of a team, ensuring compliance with all relevant performance standards and regulations. Qualifications:

Possess a Home-Based CDA Credential, Family Development Credential, or equivalent coursework in Early Education/Child Development.

Hold a valid driver's license, have access to a reliable vehicle with insurance, and be able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment requirements.

Fluency in Spanish is required.

Responsibilities:

Partner with Family Advocates to recruit and enroll families, maintain an active waiting list, and manage a full caseload.

Plan and facilitate at least two socialization events per month, creating enriching experiences that support infant and toddler development while encouraging parent-child interaction.

Design and maintain a safe, stimulating learning environment for socialization events, including lesson planning.

Schedule and coordinate program activities and events.

Conduct weekly 90-minute home visits with families, providing comprehensive support across all service components.

Model positive parent-child interactions and developmentally appropriate practices, implementing a research-based curriculum.

Collaborate with parents to observe, assess, and support their child's development.

Develop individualized education plans and activities in partnership with parents to address children's developmental goals.

Support families in navigating early intervention services for children with developmental concerns.

Encourage and facilitate parent participation in meetings and policy council activities.

Assist families in conducting strength and needs assessments, setting goals, and accessing community resources.

Build partnerships with local agencies to expand support services for families.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to see and hear at normal levels, and use hands for completing required documentation.

Ability to lift infants and toddlers up to 40 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to sit on the floor, bend, kneel, and stoop frequently (approximately 75% of the time).
