Ideal Candidate Should Have:

  • Proficiency in MATLAB, LabVIEW, C/C++ , and embedded programming.

Job Description

Thinking Minds’ client is looking for a highly skilled Electrical & Electronics Engineer to lead the design, development, and validation of cutting-edge medical devices. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing sensor-driven, embedded medical technologies , ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing device performance.

Key Responsibilities

Design, Development & Integration
  • Lead the electrical and electronics engineering aspects of medical devices.
  • Develop and validate circuit designs, PCB layouts, and embedded systems .
  • Design sensor interfaces, power management solutions, and signal processing algorithms .
  • Collaborate with firmware, software, and mechanical engineering teams to integrate systems seamlessly.
Firmware & Embedded Systems
  • Develop and debug firmware for medical-grade devices, focusing on data acquisition, communication protocols, and signal processing .
  • Optimize embedded systems for power efficiency, accuracy, and reliability .
  • Ensure seamless data transmission and integration with cloud-based healthcare platforms .
Testing, Validation & Compliance
  • Perform rigorous testing, debugging, and performance analysis of electrical systems.
  • Develop and implement validation protocols for IEC 60601-1, IEC 60601-2 , and other regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and support FDA submissions , ensuring compliance with ISO 13485 and other industry regulations.
Leadership & Innovation
  • Oversee engineering activities , ensuring projects stay on track with timelines and budgets.
  • Mentor and lead a multidisciplinary engineering team , fostering collaboration and innovation.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for usability, manufacturability, and cost reduction .
  • Research and integrate emerging technologies to enhance product capabilities.

Qualifications & Skills

Must-Have:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering .
  • 5+ years of experience in medical device development, including circuit design, PCB layout, and embedded systems .
  • Hands-on expertise in sensor technologies, data acquisition, and power management .
  • Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, ISO 13485, IEC 60601 compliance .
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, LabVIEW, C/C++ , and embedded programming.
  • Experience with wireless communication protocols (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi) and IoT device integration .
  • Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting and debugging complex electrical systems .
Nice-to-Have:
  • Experience with wearable or portable medical devices .
  • Knowledge of low-power design and battery-operated systems .
  • Familiarity with cloud-based healthcare platforms and data security considerations .
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes (DFM, DFA) for scalable production.
