The Email Marketing Expert is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing our email marketing campaigns to drive customer engagement, retention, and acquisition. This role requires a mix of creativity, technical skills, and a deep understanding of analytics. The ideal candidate will have experience in email automation, segmentation, A/B testing, and building strong email marketing strategies.
* **Develop & Execute Campaigns**: Create, schedule, and send email campaigns (newsletters, promotional emails, product launches, and more) aligned with business objectives.
* **Segment Lists**: Use customer data to segment email lists for targeted campaigns. Develop strategies to increase segmentation to maximize engagement.
* **Content Creation**: Collaborate with the content team to design email copy that resonates with the target audience and ensures brand consistency.
* **A/B Testing**: Continuously test subject lines, content, design, CTAs, and send times to optimize campaign performance.
* **Set Up Automated Workflows**: Design, set up, and manage automated email workflows for lead nurturing, welcome series, and customer retention.
* **Drip Campaigns**: Develop and manage drip campaigns to guide prospects through the sales funnel.
* **Lifecycle Marketing**: Develop automated email journeys based on the customer lifecycle (welcome, onboarding, re-engagement, etc.).
* **Measure Campaign Performance**: Use email marketing metrics such as open rates, click-through rates (CTR), conversion rates, and revenue generated to measure success.
* **Optimize Based on Data**: Regularly analyze results to identify areas for improvement and implement changes accordingly.
* **Monthly Reporting**: Provide regular reports to leadership on campaign performance, trends, and opportunities for growth.
* **Design Responsive Emails**: Work with the design team to create visually appealing and mobile-friendly emails.
* **HTML & CSS**: Be proficient in email HTML and CSS to edit templates and ensure they are properly formatted across email clients and devices.
* **Database Maintenance**: Manage email lists to ensure data quality, keeping track of opt-ins, unsubscribes, and bounce rates.
* **Grow the Email List**: Develop and execute strategies to increase email list sign-ups, including creating lead magnets and optimizing sign-up forms.
* **Compliance**: Ensure that email campaigns comply with legal regulations such as GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and other data privacy laws.
* **Work Cross-Functionally**: Collaborate with other marketing functions (content, design, sales, etc.) to align on campaign strategies and deliverables.
* **Customer Feedback**: Work with customer service or sales teams to gather feedback on email performance and customer behavior to continuously improve messaging.
* **Stay Current**: Keep up to date with email marketing trends, tools, and best practices to ensure the company’s email marketing strategies remain innovative and competitive.
* **Test New Strategies**: Experiment with new email formats, content types, and automation tools to drive innovation.
* **Experience**:
* 3+ years of hands-on experience in email marketing, including campaign execution, automation, and list management.
* Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Odoo, HubSpot, Marketo, ActiveCampaign, Klaviyo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud).
* Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS for email design and template customization.
* **Technical Skills**:
* Proficient in using email marketing software and tools for campaign creation, A/B testing, and analytics.
* Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) platforms for list management and segmentation.
* Knowledge of email deliverability best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
* **Analytical Skills**:
* Strong ability to analyze campaign performance and provide actionable insights.
* Familiarity with key email metrics (open rates, CTR, conversion rates, bounce rates) and how to optimize based on data.
* **Creative & Writing Skills**:
* Excellent written communication skills with the ability to write compelling email copy that drives engagement.
* Creative mindset to develop innovative strategies and email designs.
