Job Description:
The Estate Hospitality Coordinator at Clos du Val will be an established wine sales, events and hospitality professional who is confident in their ability to tactfully sell premium wines and Premium events while helping to maintain and build Clos du Val’s brand standards. With a strong focus on providing outstanding customer service, the Hospitality Coordinator interacts with guests and provides exceptional in-person customer service for guests and club members. The Hospitality Coordinator is a key stakeholder in experiential marketing, driving brand initiatives concomitant with broader marketing directives. The ability to connect with people from various backgrounds and wine knowledge is a must. Team oriented, high energy, verbally proficient, efficient, and “can do” attitude are some of the expected attributes.
Duties and Responsibilities
Event Coordination:
• Works closely with the Hospitality and Events Manager
• Assist in planning and executing winery events such as private tastings, tours, wine release parties, and special seasonal events.
• Execution of on-site winery trade events, large group tasting experiences, and events.
• Communicate with clients to gather event details, preferences, and special requests.
• Coordinate logistics for events, including staff, set-up, catering, and AV equipment.
• Ensure all event timelines are followed and troubleshooting issues that may arise to ensure smooth event operations.
• Ensure the Winery and the Tasting room are cleaned and organized after each event.
• Can demonstrate successful sales skills, promote the sale of wine, and membership, and can upsell customers.
• Host in the tasting room when not scheduled for work events.
• Perform event hosting at the winery as required, including weekends and evenings
Guest Relations:
• Provide exceptional service to all guests, from first contact to departure, creating an unforgettable winery experience.
• Welcome and assist guests upon arrival, ensuring they are informed and comfortable throughout their visit.
• Manage guest feedback, handling any concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor, building relationships with repeat customers and ensuring return visits.
• Act as a liaison between guests and the winery’s offerings, providing recommendations for tastings, tours, and winery services.
• Complete visitor data collection: recording as much personal interest data as possible to foster ongoing relationships with guests; brand engagement
• Assist with daily hospitality preparations including cleaning tasting areas and materials (such as glassware, plate ware, etc.)

Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years experience in event planning, preferably in luxury private or corporate events.
• Experience in revenue generation, customer engagement, preferably in a luxury wine setting preferred
• Understanding of wine; WSET II certification (or equiv.) strongly preferred but not required.
• Substantial hospitality acumen and floor awareness.
• Experience with Wine Direct, TOCK, Tripleseat and similar POS systems preferred, but not required.
• Excellent communication skills; both written and oral.
• Extraordinary guest service and a relationship-driven approach with guests.
• Ability to project credibility, in an honest, genuine, and professional manner.
• Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
