Job Title: ETL Developer
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
Key Responsibilities: - Acquire data from various sources for multiple uses and ensure its transformation into a dimensional model.
- Develop complex SQL scripts to transform data and create views and materialized views in Oracle.
- Automate data integration and transformation processes using Informatica IICS, IDMC, or Power Center.
- Collaborate with the Data Engineering Team on optimal data design and acquisition strategies.
- Perform verification and validation of SQL scripts, Informatica workflows, and database views.
- Develop automated verification and validation processes.
- Enhance and maintain Java websites that host Tableau dashboards for multiple user roles.
- Work closely with customers to develop mockups and validate designs.
- Address technical problems by collaborating with team members.
- Implement and configure development tools to support the project.
- Create and maintain technical specifications, diagrams, and other documentation.
- Participate in requirements and design sessions.
- Interpret new business requirements, assess their impact, and propose enhancements.
- Participate in all sprint ceremonies.
Minimum Requirements: - Experience developing mappings and workflows to automate ETL processes using Informatica IICS, IDMC, or Power Center.
- Proficiency in acquiring and integrating data from multiple sources, including Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, Excel, Access, and Adobe PDF.
- Expertise in designing and developing efficient SQL scripts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as a system analyst for data analytics or data warehousing projects.
- Proficiency in technical writing, diagramming tools (e.g., Visio, Erwin), and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience planning and delivering software platforms used across multiple organizational units.
- Experience designing and developing Python scripts.
- Hands-on experience on agile sprint teams using JIRA.
Preferred Qualifications: - Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to write well-designed, testable, and efficient code using best practices.
- Understanding of security principles, especially concerning healthcare data.
- Experience with modern software components for data visualization or business intelligence environments.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize conflicting tasks.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience in the healthcare industry or with an HHS agency.
- Familiarity with PII or PHI data handling.
- Expertise in web applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, and APIs.
- Functional knowledge or experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP).
- Experience developing dashboards and reports in Tableau, including connecting to external data sources.
