DEPARTMENT MANAGER

FACILITY OPERATIONS

Salary: DOE ($70k-$75K)

Benefits:

Position Summary: The Department Manager of the Operations Department is responsible for all aspects of the Operations personnel and areas. This role involves daily tasks, operation oversight, strategic planning, and ensuring that all direct reporting areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety and aesthetic appeal. The Department Manager reports to the General Manager.

Leading & Motivating 

  • The Department Manager is the leader for the department. The tone the Department Manager sets is often the tone of the culture within a department. Our Department Managers are expected to identify opportunities, affect change and celebrate the team. This position is designed to follow all levels of expectations from Associate through Department Manager. 
  • Oversight of the department as a whole
  • Accountable for all roles within the department including the training, coaching, development, accountability and follow up. 
  • Owner of functionality, performance and growth of the department.
  • Effective scheduling. Understanding project/task needs and the requirements in availability for the department. This also includes staffing levels. 
  • Leading by example by demonstrating proficiency in all systems, sharing knowledgeable information and providing elevated experiences.
  • Display professionalism through high emotional intelligence and de-escalation.
  • Utilize in-the-moment coaching to redirect associates to elevate performance.

Project Management 

  • Investigate and communicate incessantly the specifics, needs and expectations of all projects taking place on company grounds.
  • Identify and manage potential risks 
  • Manage project resources.
  • Be an advocate for the customer experience.

Facility Maintenance 

  • Waterflow Management - The management of geothermal water flow. 
  • Facility Support 
  • Traditional Maintenance

Safety 

  • Regulatory Testing - Per state and county laws, we are required to test all water regularly for the health and safety of all visitors. This position oversees the completion of these important practices for the entire facility. Compliance with this requirement is mandatory.

Cleanliness Standards

  • Observe and coach to compliance with the following;
  • All work areas must be clean and debris free upon completing work. Housekeeping may be called for deep cleaning purposes. 

General Duties and Expectations

  • Expected to be able to perform any and all duties listed in the Associate position.
  • Expected to deliver high performance in all areas of this department including the leading, development and performance of this department as a whole.
  • Demonstrate all competencies and disciplines associated with this position and positions leading to this position.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Collaborate with all departments to elevate guest experience. 
  • Perform quality checks on all tasks performed in this department.
  • Regularly review records kept by department team members. 
  • Delegate tasks to team members (based on competencies and learning when able)
  • Implement strategies to reduce department costs.
