PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

As a General Laborer, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring that our processes run safely, smoothly and efficiently. POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Operate a range of industrial equipment including light-duty pickups, fuel trucks, forklifts, and sweeper trucks
• Load and unload materials and equipment efficiently, ensuring that all tasks are completed flawlessly
• Conduct visual inspections and promptly report any damage or defects to maintain our high standards
• Prepare reports (written and electronic) by updating relevant systems and forms to ensure accurate record-keeping

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• A high school diploma or equivalent experience
• A valid driver’s license
• Strong focus and attention to detail to balance multiple tasks effectively
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to provide clear and concise instructions/directions over the radio
• The willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods
• The ability to successfully complete required physical tasks, written examinations, and understand safety instructions and operating rules and regulations in English

Medical Requirements:
CPKC is committed to the safety and health of its employees and the general public.  This position is a  safety sensitive position all new hires will be required to complete a pre-employment medical that includes a physical, vision, hearing, alcohol, and drug audit assessments. Qualification drug test(s) are also required.
