Job Description

FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on all assigned customer and company owned power generation equipment as needed or
    scheduled.
  • Maintain technical information, repair manuals or other electronic data, maintenance kits, and parts information for power
    generation equipment.
  • Able to perform maintenance, diagnostic troubleshooting, and perform repairs on various generator packages ranging from
    20kW to 2000kW size class. Including but not limited to:
  • Industrial Engine Troubleshooting & Repairs
  • Complex Control Troubleshooting & Repairs
  • Automatic Transfer Switch Troubleshooting & Repairs
  • Available to participate in the technician on-call rotation and 24/7 for Emergency service requests.
  • Perform all job assignments and duties safely in accordance with all OSHA guidelines.

TRAINING/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • MSHA Certification
  • ARC Flash Certification
  • OSHA 10-Hour Certification
  • Forklift Certification.

Work to acquire and maintain the following certifications.

  • Mitsubishi Industrial Engine certification.
  • Perkins Industrial Engine certification.
  • John Deere Industrial Engine certification.
  • Taylor, Bluestar, and Briggs & Stratton EPS certification.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 5-years power generation experience.
  • Proven experience/proficiency and extensive knowledge with Stationary/Portable/Towable Generator maintenance,
    troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Proven experience in transfer switch maintenance and repair.
  • Working knowledge of D/C and A/C electrical systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of diesel and gaseous engine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
  • Fabrication experience: welding, pipe threading, etc
  • Clean driving record.
  • Provide/Maintain personal hand tools.
  • Great customer service, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Computer skills including excel, outlook, and operational other operational software
