We are seeking Equipment Technician Probe Hardware with onsemi in Nampa, Idaho. Probe Hardware Equipment Technicians are responsible for the maintenance of all Probe Cards and all Probe Card Shop equipment, which includes but is not limited to preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, failure root cause analysis, and equipment verifications. Probe Hardware Equipment Technicians work on all Probe Card Shop equipment at the Nampa facility, including Rudolph/Onto Probe Card Analyzers, Micro-Vu and Lynx Microscopes, Alum-A-Lift mobile lifts, and Bake Ovens.
Responsibilities Responsibilities: - Probe Card Maintenance including aligning probes, cleaning cards, testing/soldering components, replacing FormFactor heads, testing/aligning LCMs and diffusers.
- Follow and improve processes to deliver highest quality probecard availability
- Support Production and Engineering needs regarding Probe Cards or Probe Card equipment.
- Work with the tool and process owners to create/improve work instructions, procedures, and best-known methods for performing probecard and equipment maintenance
- Properly and thoroughly document all equipment maintenance work performed using the Maintenance Manager (MaiMa) application
- Debug/Failure Analysis of Probe Card test fails, including yield, alignment/planarity, bin fallout.
- Troubleshooting to board level on Probe Card equipment
- Performing necessary maintenance on Probe Card Analyzers
- Hard drive replacement
- Working on various PC problems
- Reading electronic block diagrams
- Maintenance of Probe Card Shop area equipment
- Communicating with Engineering and various groups throughout the plant
Qualifications - Strong computer skills (Windows OS and Excel)
- Able to work in cleanroom environment
- Capable of lifting 40 pounds
- Ability to work a 12-hr. shift
- A high level of attention to detail
- The ability to be self-motivated and to handle multiple tasks
- Be able to evaluate a schedule and prioritize work based on that schedule and/or change priorities
- Ability to follow a detailed procedure
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Good organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Work in a team environment
- Ability to work with limited supervision
Preferred - Minimum of Associate degree in electronics or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of component level electronics
- Component soldering skills
- Metrology equipment experience (PRVX, MicroVu, etc.) is a plus
