Summary:
The Manager of Business Intelligence will be a key leader to inform the direction of the Salty Snacks business by leveraging data across the retail landscape. This position will play a pivotal role in supporting data-driven decision-making throughout commercial planning, serving as a go-to-resource for leadership to gain insights on key business drivers and performance trends. The leader will serve as a strong cross-functional partner to Marketing and Category Management to conduct analyses on retail and panel data to identify the greatest areas of value creation. In addition, this position will lead the preparation of executive-level presentations and responses to priority leadership asks.


Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, understand, and share out key drivers of our own brand, category, and key competitors’ performance, as well as macro trend insights
  • Manage and regularly update retail sales and market share projections for our brands and categories
  • Own quarterly executive committee (including the President of Salty and CEO) reviews of the Salty Snacks business, to build confidence in the business direction as well as prioritize key areas of future focus
  • Own retail insights to fuel and inform the commercial plan for the overall Salty business, supporting the integrated business management process
  • Engage with the Commercial team to enhance planning, forecasting, and reconciliation processes by leveraging consistent use of data and insights
  • Identify opportunities for generating and sharing insights across the business via new reporting (e.g., scorecards, dashboards, visualizations)
  • Maintain regular touchpoints with cross functional partners, including Category Management, Sales Planning, Marketing, Finance, and Demand Planning
  • Liaise and support the Hershey Organization efforts around data integration, processes, and synergies, including third-party partnerships for database management


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ analytical experience working in or consulting for leading CPG company in business intelligence, category management, sales, finance, or marketing
  • Extensive experience working in retail databases (e.g., IRI) and strong knowledge of syndicated data
  • Exceptional ability to turn data into insights and effectively communicate needed actions throughout the organization, including at the Executive level
  • Exceptional Excel skills with the ability to analyze and organize large data sets from multiple sources and build dashboards/models to present and visualize information in a simple manner
  • Strong planning, project management, and organizational skills
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, consistent accuracy
  • Self-starter/learner, and ability to adapt to fast paced and changing environments
  • Ability to communicate effectively and manage relationships with cross-functional team
