This is one of the few jobs that the candidate doesn't have to come from the investment banking industry. This position really supports the E*Trade subsidiary of Morgan Stanley. E*Trade supports tens of millions of stock traders a day, so that is why high speed/performance of the networking gear is important. This is why they are seeking a network engineer who truly supports, "low latency Linux environment." Of the candidates with title of "Network Engineer," less than 5% really understand and working on low latency networking issues.

Looking for a project-based Network consultant. Mostly it's a deployment projects building and Low latency trading infrastructure , which involves mostly the low latency platforms working with Cisco and Arista networking devices.
Very well Knowledgeable on the routing protocols. BGP, OSPF and Multicast, TCP/IP Trace analysis . primary protocols need candidate expert to be.
Banking experience will be a plus and any scripting knowledge that will be a plus with good communication skills.
So this will be a deployment position which will involve a weekend work Friday and Saturday.
Certification is a plus
Experience with Financial Banking or any Hedge Funds brokerage firms is preferred.

Job Description:
This role is part of the Specialized Electronic Trading Infrastructure (SETI) team's high-performance network operations group. The candidate will join a team responsible for evaluating, designing, and implementing solutions to support Brokerage's global low-latency, high-speed trading infrastructure. Utilizing the latest technologies across all financial products and leveraging industry knowledge and technical trends, the candidate will be responsible for meeting customer requirements for low latency, high-performance computing, security, and efficient execution across complex routing systems.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Extensive knowledge of routing protocols and platforms such as BGP, OSPF, RIP, MP-BGP, MPLS, L2-VPNs, Multicast (PIM SM/DM/SSM), ASR1K, ISRg2, CRS-1/4/8.
- Experience with designing and implementing data networking products and technologies from a technology vendor or systems integrator.
- CCIE or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in IP Routing with BGP, MP-BGP, OSPF, RIP, MPLS, L2-VPNs.
- Familiarity with IP Routing platforms like ISRg2, ASR1K, CRS-1/4/8, and Juniper.
- Expertise in switching platforms such as Cisco Nexus, Cat3K, 4K, 6K, SUP6e/6le/7e/7le/8e SUP32, SUP720, and Arista (all models).
- In-depth knowledge of switching concepts, including Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP, PVSTP+), 802.1q trunking, CEF, ARP, DHCP snooping, TCAM, Dynamic ARP inspection, IGMPv2/3, and platform-specific configurations (3k, 4k, 6k, SUP720/32, SUP6E/6LE/7E/7LE/8E).
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP concepts, including TCP slow-start, duplicate Acknowledgments, retransmits, SACK, subnetting, and supernetting.
- Experience with testing suites like IXIA, Spirent, Shundra, RFC2544, IMIX/EMIX, and test setup.
