About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Trust and Estates Partner to provide high-level tax, accounting, and consulting services to high-net-worth families. This role focuses on tax planning and compliance for individuals, family investment partnerships, trusts, gifts, estates, private foundations, and other wealth management areas. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in helping clients manage their tax obligations, preserve their wealth, and ensure smooth transitions for future generations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, understanding their unique financial goals.
- Implement sophisticated tax, gift, and estate planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and accomplish family objectives.
- Provide expert guidance on charitable giving, philanthropic initiatives, and the establishment of family foundations or charitable trusts.
- Advise clients on tax-efficient strategies for estate, gift, and inheritance planning.
- Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with all tax obligations.
- Collaborate with external attorneys to help clients protect their assets through trusts, limited liability entities, and family partnerships.
- Work closely with legal professionals, financial advisors, and accountants to deliver comprehensive wealth management solutions.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in law, accounting, finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification required.
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in private client tax, with a specialization in trusts and estates taxation and planning.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws related to trusts and estates.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective client interactions.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Compensation:
- Competitive annual salary ranging from $250,000 to $500,000+, depending on experience.
