The University of Chicago's Department of Surgery, Section of Pediatric Surgery, is searching for full-time faculty members at any rank. Appointees will have inpatient and outpatient responsibilities to support and complement the faculty in Pediatric Surgery. Responsibilities will include patient care and teaching at The University of Chicago - Comer Children?s Hospital and at affiliated off-site locations within the Chicagoland Children?s Health Alliance. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Surgery (or equivalent) in Pediatric Surgery, and 4) have completed an accredited fellowship and/or equivalent training in Pediatric Surgery.
