Position Summary

Position is responsible for working with patients and physicians in primary care clinics to implement and evaluate a multi-level precision medicine trial aimed at improving clinical practice and patient behavior, such as physician and patient uptake of tobacco treatment and overall tobacco treatment effectiveness. Rater II will assist with recruitment, consenting, and data collection and participate in training of staff on study procedures. Position will include both work from home and work in the office at the medical center.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Recruits, screens, and schedules participants for study per protocol.
  • Obtains informed consent, administers interviews, and collects saliva samples for testing.
  • Delivers behavioral intervention to participants.
  • Generates participant study reports.
  • Maintains accurate documentation across all study databases.
  • Assists in training staff and students on study procedures.
  • Performs quality control of data collected to ensure it is accurate.
  • Monitors and purchases study supplies and submits research participant payments.
  • Assists with study-related tasks (e.g., preparing study visit materials, data cleaning).
  • Attends weekly and monthly team meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Salary Range

$19.21 - $28.85 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
