Job Description

MSA has an opportunity for a full time Project Engineer - Transportation . The position is based in the Duluth, MN office . As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to see, and contribute in, projects from start to finish. Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Project management inclu ding project planning, scoping, budgeting and QA/QC
  • Client relations including virtual or applicable in person meetings with existing and new clients
  • Design of transportation infrastructure projects including roadways, bridges and trails
  • Preparation of details, specifications, and bidding documents
  • Preparation of technical reports and regulatory permits for projects
  • Review and respond to proposals for projects with assistance from MSA team members
  • Assist with mentoring junior staff
  • Construction management and inspection experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or MicroStation and 3D design based associated platform on highway improvement projects
  • Public meeting presentation displays and public engagement


Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required
  • Minimum of 4 years of mobility/transportation engineering experience is required
  • PE license required (MN PE preferred)
  • MnDOT and WisDOT project experience preferred
  • Bentley OpenRoads design experience preferred
  • Previous client liaison and project management experience or a desire to step into that role is required
  • Self-motivated worker who values employee-owned company culture

The salary for this position ranges from $79,000 to $126,500, with higher compensation available for candidates with significant experience and exceptional qualifications. Candidates with extensive experience may also be considered for a higher-level position within the company, with a corresponding increase in salary.
