We are seeking a dedicated Construction Quality Control Manager (QCM) to support our federal project in Stonewall, TX. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, development, and execution of quality control systems for the project.
  • Facilitate meetings to clarify the scope of work and specifications, and create the QC plan.
  • Review and revise subcontractor drawings and submittals for compliance, coordinating approvals and tracking progress.
  • Conduct daily quality control inspections, reviewing field logs, progress reports, safety documentation, and detailed notes on as-built changes and RFIs.
  • Perform follow-up inspections to ensure adherence to contract documents and approved submittals.
  • Manage non-conformance notices and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with the project superintendent and manager to effectively address issues.
  • Utilize RMS software to manage daily QC reports, weekly CPRs, and other documentation for monthly progress payment applications.
  • Coordinate with government project management and subcontractors to ensure compliance with QC procedures.
  • Maintain project submittal logs and quality control reports.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing quality-related concerns and complaints.
  • Oversee contractor and government punch list items to ensure they are resolved prior to final inspection.
  • Analyze statistical data and contract specifications to establish quality and reliability standards for completed projects.
  • Prepare and submit project close-out documents, including manuals and warranties.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to complete CQM-C training and OSHA 30 within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Minimum of 5 years of QA/QC experience in construction.
  • Preferred: 3+ years of experience in historical preservation/restoration.
  • Preferred: Experience with USACE projects.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with RMS software.
  • Ability to travel within the U.S. and access federal or military facilities.
  • Strong technical skills to manage critical quality control issues.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities in relation to quality control challenges.
