Quality Manager
Overview:
The Quality Manager plays a critical role in maintaining and improving the quality management system to meet customer requirements. Acting as both a leader and hands-on contributor, the Quality Manager guides the plant quality team to meet internal and external quality objectives, supporting seamless daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Quality Systems Oversight: Develop, implement, and sustain quality systems to exceed customer quality expectations.
· Team Training: Collaborate with HR to design and deliver training programs, ensuring team members have a solid understanding of quality systems and tools.
· Corrective/Preventive Actions: Lead the corrective and preventive action processes, ensuring thorough documentation and systematic process improvements, including updates to control plans, process flows, and PFMEA documentation.
· Customer Standards Compliance: Maintain full responsibility for meeting customer quality standards, including implementing containment or other required procedures as necessary.
· Documentation Management: Oversee PPAP submissions and related compliance documentation (e.g., IMDS, Conflict Materials, Customs) to ensure all records are accurate and current.
· Collaborate with management to align quality initiatives with operational goals.
· Continuous Improvement: Drive Lean Manufacturing practices and spearhead initiatives to improve quality systems.
· Statistical Tools Implementation: Develop and integrate advanced statistical methods to enhance quality performance.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification (e.g., CQE, CQM).
· Minimum of 8 years of experience in quality management, preferably within plastic injection molding.
· Proficiency in interpreting technical documents such as blueprints, technical manuals, and business reports.
· Strong communication skills, including the ability to present complex information effectively to diverse audiences.
· Advanced mathematical and statistical skills, including knowledge of probability, statistical inference, geometry, and trigonometry.
· Proven problem-solving abilities in non-standardized scenarios.
· Comprehensive understanding of quality standards, including ISO and IATF requirements.
