We collaborate with a wide range of organizations, from large firms to smaller startups, for-profits to nonprofits, and NGOs to governments, to conduct research. Then, we apply and disseminate our insights to achieve social impact at a large scale.
The Lab's research falls into three main areas: (a) research to identify specific problems and associated potential technology solutions; (b) general purpose research on methods, processes, and practices that support the development of technologies such as digital education, worker training, nudges, and information provision; and (c) research on innovative approaches to subsidize and incentivize the development and scaling of technical solutions, including paying for outcomes, advance market commitments, social impact bonds, social impact venture capital, prizes, and milestone payments.
