Job Description

Lone Star Bakery, Inc. is looking for a Safety Coordinator to assist with safety programs, training, and related processes on-site ensuring compliance to internal requirements and external regulations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Fostering and promoting a safety culture.
• Assist with training programs and identify training needs.
• Conduct company safety compliance audits.
• Assists the Safety Director in developing annual safety goals and objectives and action plans supporting the Company’s core value of uncompromised safety.
• Conduct accident investigations and near miss incidents.
• Conducts daily walk through at both Plant 1 and Plant 2 as needed.
• Conduct safety training.

Job Requirements, Education, & Certifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English and complete relevant Company documents.
• Safety experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated problem solving ability and capable to draw upon resources to accomplish goals.
• Displayed strong written and verbal communication skills.

Environmental Conditions

• Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, visual acuity, accommodation and color vision.
• Working in indoor and outdoor environments in conditions of extreme heat and cold.
• Work in and near industrial hazards.

Bilingual is strongly preferred.

Schedule flexibility is preferred.
