Security Manager (TS/SCI CI Poly)

Location : Ashburn, VA (Primarily in the Washington, D.C. Metro Area with limited remote opportunities)

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Security Manager to provide expert guidance and support for classified programs within the Intelligence Community (IC) and the Department of Defense (DoD) . This position requires a seasoned security professional with strong critical thinking abilities, independence, and a deep understanding of security operations and compliance regulations. The ideal candidate will excel in navigating federal laws, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs) , and the NISPOM Rule while delivering tailored solutions to meet diverse security needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver expert security support to clients, ensuring compliance with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM Rule) , ICDs, and other relevant regulations.
• Manage and process security clearances and access requests through systems such as NISS , DISS (NBIS) , and Talon .
• Serve as the Contract Program Security Officer (CPSO) , ensuring compliance with personnel security reporting requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal laws, executive orders, and IC directives governing security practices.
• Provide on-site support for clients, with extensive travel throughout the D.C. Metro area and occasional domestic travel.
• Communicate effectively with diverse teams and deliver high-quality solutions independently.

Required Qualifications

• Security Clearance : Active U.S. Top Secret clearance with SCI Access Eligibility .
• Polygraph : Current CI Polygraph completed within the last 5 years.
• Experience : Minimum of 4 years as an FSO or CPSO in a classified environment.
• Education : Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• Certification: Current FSO Certification for Possessing Facilities .
• Proficiency with NISS , DISS (NBIS) , and Talon systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
• Professional appearance and capability to perform tasks without physical or medical limitations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications :
• NCMS ISP® Certification .
• Current CSSO Certification .
• COMSEC Account Manager Certification .

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary : $110,000 - $120,000 annually.
