Position Outline:

• Design and deliver engaging lessons aligned with school and state standards to support ELL students’ language development.
  
• Provide targeted support through individualized and small-group instruction.
  
• Partner with classroom teachers to integrate language development strategies across subject areas.
  
• Build a welcoming and inclusive classroom that encourages student participation and growth.
  
• Establish clear behavior expectations to maintain a safe and productive learning environment.
  
• Continuously assess student progress and adjust teaching methods to meet evolving needs.
  

Requirements

• Valid Illinois PEL with ESL endorsement is required.
  
• Demonstrated experience as an ESL Teacher or in a similar role.
  
• Background working with students from diverse linguistic and cultural communities.
  
• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required; a Master’s degree in TESOL or a related field is a plus.
