Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS

The Senior Pastor should be a man

who has felt God’s call upon his own life to be in full time vocational ministry
wholly devoted to the complete and inerrant Word of God that has been canonized and preserved in the 66 books of the Protestant Bible
who meets and adheres to the qualifications of a pastor as laid out in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1
who adheres to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000

RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBJECTIVES

Help lead Sunday Morning and Wednesday Evening worship by preparing and preaching a sermon
Work with other staff to plan and coordinate worship services and events
Lead the Congregation in accordance with the New Testament church laid out in scripture
Under the direct authority of Jesus Christ he will work alongside staff and the deacons to:
- Lead the congregation in fulfilling the mission statement of the church
- Lead by example and help guide the congregation in discipleship
- Lead the congregation to rely on the Holy Spirit and seeks ways in which to evangelize to all people
- Exhibit a sensitivity to the Holy Spirit and helps the congregation to develop the same sensitivity

INITIAL APPLICATION

2. Resume consisting of all relevant educational and professional/ministerial history

3. Proof of license by a certified Baptist Church or recognized affiliate.

4. Proof of ordination

5. Two or three recent sermons (please provide the web address of other access if necessary)

6. A letter of recommendation from each of the following: pastor, layperson, community representative
