Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated SEO Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will support SEO initiatives across multiple agile squads and ensure the implementation of recommendations provided by our partner SEO agency. The SEO Specialist will play a pivotal role in executing SEO strategies, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and driving organic growth.

Key Responsibilities

SEO Implementation and Execution

  • Manage all SEO activities including content strategy, link building, and keyword strategy to improve rankings across major search networks.
  • Collaborate with internal team members to create content, build links, and support landing page development to meet SEO objectives.
  • Perform ongoing keyword research, including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities.
  • Research and implement content recommendations to drive organic SEO success.
  • Monitor and optimize website performance, including site speed and mobile usability.
  • Analyze website traffic and user behavior using tools such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve SEO-related issues promptly.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and changes in search engine algorithms to maintain and enhance SEO effectiveness.


Stakeholder Management and Collaboration

  • Work closely with our SEO agency partner to challenge and apply their SEO strategy recommendations on all major brands (3 websites)
  • Work with Product Owners and other leaders to track and present key performance indicators (KPIs) measuring the success of SEO efforts.
  • Collaborate with content creators, web developers, and marketing teams to align SEO strategies with overarching business goals.
  • Partner with the development team to ensure the proper implementation of SEO best practices.
  • Work closely with content and brand marketing teams to integrate SEO principles into content creation and programming.
  • Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking structures, and other factors to improve SEO performance for targeted keywords.
  • Collaborate with the Paid Media team to identify and leverage complementary SEO/SEM opportunities.
  • Act as a knowledge resource, sharing SEO best practices and updates with team members and stakeholders.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an SEO Specialist or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of SEO tools, such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, or Ahrefs.
  • Experience with content management systems (e.g. Strapi, Craft, Storyblok, Drupal or similar) and website optimization techniques.
  • Proficiency in performing technical SEO audits and implementing recommendations.
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to SEO.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest SEO trends, algorithms, and tools.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an agile environment.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-level SEO tools and platforms.
  • Background in collaborating with SEO agencies and implementing third-party recommendations.
  • Bilingual (FR/EN) (The SEO specialist will be required to work with stakeholders outside of QC)
