The primary focus of this position will be to support Summer Test trip activities within the Thermal Management Group. The summer intern will work closely with and under the mentorship of experienced engineering and technical staff while assisting with the offsite test planning and preparing test vehicles with the appropriate instrumentation and data acquisition equipment. The intern may participate in the Summer Test(s) by assisting with the test execution, data collection, and analysis of the “real-world” truck operation. This position will also collaborate with engineering and technical staff outside the department, offering a broader exposure to the work performed at the Technical Center and PACCAR’s North American engineering organizations.
The Summer Internship Program provides the opportunity to contribute to PACCAR’s truck and technology development efforts while gaining valuable engineering skills and experience. The Program also organizes professional, social events with interns working in various groups at the Technical Center and other regional PACCAR engineering facilities.
