TorkLaw, a leading personal injury law firm, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Web Developer to join our dynamic team.

This position is based in our Irvine office and provides the opportunity to contribute to the development, maintenance, and optimization of our web applications. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications, ensuring functionality, performance, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other developers to create user-friendly, visually appealing websites and applications.
  • Optimize web applications for maximum speed, scalability, and responsiveness.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to industry best practices.
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues across the application lifecycle.
  • Stay up to date with emerging web development technologies and frameworks.
  • Implement web performance optimization techniques and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
  • Manage version control systems and participate in code reviews to ensure quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in backend development or a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant projects.
  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with frameworks such as Flask, Django, or FastAPI.
  • Experience building and deploying applications on AWS .
  • Familiarity with serverless architecture and tools for building serverless applications.
  • Strong understanding of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
  • Proficiency in version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in agile development environments.
  • Knowledge of web performance optimization techniques (preferred) .
  • Experience with responsive design principles (preferred but not a primary focus).
