Electrical Estimator - Industrial Electric - Base Salary to 65k/year - Clear Brook, VA

• As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a key role in our project planning and bidding processes. You will be responsible for preparing comprehensive estimates that reflect a thorough understanding of project specifications and requirements. With a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical estimating, you will be adept at using specialized estimating software to determine material and labor costs. Your expertise will support our team in delivering accurate and competitive bids, helping us to secure a range of exciting industrial electrical projects.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed take-offs using industry-standard estimating software to create accurate and comprehensive estimates for material, labor, and equipment needs.
• Analyze bid documents, blueprints, and project plans to fully understand project scope and specifications.
• Evaluate project factors and unique requirements that could impact production, cost, and timeline, providing insightful recommendations where needed.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to develop realistic and competitive bids.
• Engage in discussions with suppliers and subcontractors to gather the most competitive and accurate pricing information.
• Prepare and present finalized estimates to management for review, ensuring alignment with company objectives and profitability targets.
• Continuously monitor project outcomes compared to estimates to refine future estimating processes.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, materials, labor rates, and best practices in electrical construction and estimating.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in electrical estimating within the industrial and commercial sectors.
• Proficiency in estimating software and the ability to perform take-offs accurately and efficiently.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex bid documents, blueprints, and project plans.
• Familiarity with industry regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance practices.
