Job Overview:
The Hotel Chalet and Elsie's Daughter are seeking an experienced and creative Executive Chef/Kitchen Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of our establishment, ensuring high-quality food production, menu planning, and maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the culinary team in food preparation and presentation
- Develop innovative menus that meet quality standards and customer preferences
- Oversee inventory management, ordering, and control to minimize waste
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with the events department to meet specific events needs
- Train kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and procedures
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in hospitality or restaurant management
- Strong knowledge of food production, menu planning, and inventory control
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team
- Understanding of food safety standards and regulations
- Culinary degree or certification is preferred but not required
