DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Drive a broad spectrum of fixed income performance measurement and attribution calculations, and create reporting across regional offices. Provide risk and return analysis to portfolio managers and investment specialists across variety of fixed income strategies such as long/short duration, mortgages, high yield, emerging market debt, etc. Utilize complex proprietary attribution tools and systems to support regular and ad-hoc requests from the fixed income business to accommodate JPM's clients' needs. Maintain high standards of quality control checks and procedures. Develop and participate in controls meetings for key business projects and business changes. Participate in initiatives to create solutions for complex client demands and challenges, and to continuously improve the infrastructure and control environment. Analyze performance and attribution reports, and effectively communicate results to Senior Management as well as the Business. Provide optimal client service experience by understanding client's needs and developing relationships across the organization, specifically with Client Advisors, Portfolio Managers, Middle Office, Client Reporting, and RFP teams. Act as a key contributor to the department's efforts to improve systems and technology, actively participating in projects, requirement gathering and testing of software and system tools.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: 3- or 4- year Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Math, Statistics, Economics, Engineering or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Performance Analyst, Asset Management Associate, Asset Management Team Leader, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: fixed income products and portfolio management theories; performance measurement methodologies including time-weighted return and money-weighted return; attribution models including Brinson Model, Hybrid Performance Attribution (HPA) Model and Spread/Duration Model; external systems such as Bloomberg, Morningstar or Clearwater; fixed income market risks such as interest rate risk, liquidity risk or currency risk; statistical data analysis utilized for portfolio reviews including standard deviation, VaR, drawdown ratio, Sharpe ratio, Information ratio and Sortino ratio.
Job Location: 4 MetroTech Center, Brooklyn, NY 11201. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
Full-Time. Salary: $121,000 - $136,500 per year.
