Job Title: PLC Controls Engineer
Location: Philipsburg, PA (relocation support can be provided)
Our rapidly growing technology company is hiring! We have been developing and manufacturing complex net-shape components using metal injection molding (MIM) and 3D metal printing technologies for the medical, industrial and defense industries. We design, engineer and produce metal components that improve the performance of our clients' medical devices, hand tools, defense, and sporting goods.
This is a new position to help support our growth and goals of automation more processes in the coming future. This person will be hands on, and work closely with our automation technician.
Job Characteristics:
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Minitab
Experience with polymer compounding, injection molding, sintering, or CNC machining
Ability to write and troubleshoot PLC programs
Proven mechanical abilities with above average troubleshooting
Knowledge of electrical (DC/AC) including working and safety
Job Responsibilities:
Maintenance and troubleshooting of sintering processes
Creation and maintenance of furnace programming to ensure optimization of loading capacity and efficiency
Documentation of Sintering Processes Specification and Work Instructions
Develop, configure, and optimize sintering processes from concept to production
Installation and troubleshooting of new equipment
Rebuilding of existing equipment with minimal downtime
Train operators to increase knowledge in department
Continuous improvement within department through utilization of process improvements
Collection, analysis, and presentation of data
Minimum travel requirement
Follow the standards of ISO13485 and ISO 9001 International Standards
Associates or B.S. in engineering or other technical discipline
2+ years' experience in manufacturing and troubleshooting of equipment
