We’re hiring a Director of Supply Chain and Logistics in DC!

As the Director of Supply Chain and Logistics, you will be the driving force behind CYM's food and beverage sourcing, vendor management, procurement, and logistics, ensuring all processes and product end results align with our mission and values. This role is for a hands-on problem solver and strategic thinker who thrives in a growth environment, excels in negotiation, and leads with impeccable communication and process management skills. Collaborating closely with the Culinary and Commissary Teams, you will champion CYM’s product standards to keep our menu at its best. A passion for food, strong vendor relationships, and a commitment to excellence are essential as you lead efforts to optimize operations, maintain efficiency, and uphold CYM’s core values across all supply chain activities.

Your core responsibilities will be:

  • Manage and act as main point of contact for all vendor relationships; Resolve any systemic vendor issues including but not limited to delivery, quality, professionalism and adherence to CYM's Core Values
  • Working closely with Culinary and Commissary Teams, source products and vendors that align with CYM's Core Values and product standards
  • Working with vendors, proactively ensures shops and commissaries have the products needed to execute at the highest level
  • Continuously evaluate and negotiate margin plus pricing and fixed cost pricing from existing vendors based on CYM's Core Values and product standards.
  • Continuously seek to gain efficiency in our overall cost structure by leveraging our brand equity and sales volume across multiple markets.
  • Lead CYM’s internal Logistics teams, proactively planning efficient routes and deliveries that anticipate growth and obstacles to success
  • Partner with Accounting to ensure accurate invoicing and payments for all vendors per our existing agreements and/or contracts
  • Validate all company and operational order guides are up to date with current information and pricing
  • Proactively anticipate and potential disruptions to our internal and/or external supply chain and coordinate solutions, comprehensive contingency plans, and temporary replacement items to minimize out of stock on all items
  • Provide analysis into product usage and trends and recommend actionable steps to improve efficiency and margin
  • Validate recipe and vendor information in Restaurant 365
  • Partner with Marketing and Operations teams to support packaging updates and sourcing ingredients for new menu items and rollouts

You’ll be a great addition to the CYM team if you:

  • 3-5 years in a supply chain role in a retail/food service environment
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field required
  • Strong professional knowledge in all aspects of supply chain
  • Experience managing 50+ vendors
  • Experience leading logistics and fleet management
  • Previous experience ERP, inventory, and distribution systems
  • Conceptual thinker who can move from strategy to tactical implementation seamlessly
  • Skilled in negotiating and proven accountability for financial results
  • Attention to detail with a strategic, big picture mindset
  • Highly collaborative with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and quickly changing priorities
  • A passion for ensuring a best in class food experience
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and projects and prioritize needs
  • A drive to implement new and innovative solutions to help solve issues and improve the guest experience 
  • Ability to travel to CYM locations and vendor partners as needed.
